This is not the season David Moyes dreamed of when he replaced Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
A nightmarish campaign for the Chosen One has been pockmarked by poor results and rumours of disagreements behind the scenes.
It has also been a chastening season for the players.
But how have fans' perceptions of the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie and co fluctuated during this disappointing few months at Old Traffrod.
The team at Beat Your Manager! Fantasy Football have the answers and it makes for surprising reading.
- Despite Wayne Rooney's attempts to escape from United to the strains of Queen's I Want To Break Free last summer, 94 per cent of fans still wanted him in the starting line-up last summer. Now that he is on £300,000 per week that number has risen to 97 per cent.
- That makes Rooney United's second most popular player, squeezed in between No 1 fan favourite David De Gea (98 per cent approval rating) and new signing Juan Mata (95 per cent).
- Despite having a fan approval rating of just 54 per cent, Tom Cleverley still scrapes into most supporters' starting XIs which is a real indictment of United's central midfield. Michael Carrick (78 per cent) is the highest rated Man United midfielder.
- Patrice Evra (92 per cent) might be on his way out this summer but he remains Man United fans' most used defender, although that may be due to the fact that Alex Buttner (3 per cent) does not provide much competition in their eyes.
- Last season's top scorer Robin Van Persie is the sixth most used player in the United squad as injuries take hold.
- Shinji Kagawa is only half as popular as he was at the start of the season.
- But Anderson, who is on loan at Fiorentina, has become more popular since he left in January (an 8 per cent upward shift), while Bebe is wanted by 1 per cent of fans.
- You can also take a look at what Liverpool fans make of their own team and contrast it with United.
- The graphic below shows whether United fans are second guessing David Moyes' own selections. The left hand column shows the percentage of matches Moyes has used a particular player with the fans' choices to the right.
