Ireland prop Jack McGrath is confident that the scrum can be one of the country's main weapons as the Rugby World Cup hots up.

Speaking to Off The Ball's Nathan Murphy as Joe Schmidt's side build up to Sunday's second pool clash against Romania this Sunday, the Leinster player homed in on the forwards.

"We're trying to hone it into a weapon now and we've been working on it for the last two and a half years, so it's great to have the experience of [Rory] Best and [Mike] Ross to help me along, and even Cian [Healy] coming back in and for myself to give Tadgh [Furlong] and other young guys pointers, it's great. It is an area that we're confident that it's going well, but one afternoon getting shoved back, it can all go down the toilet. So you have to be really switched on every time we go out," he said.

McGrath also spoke about the challenge that Romania will pose as well as his view on the four-day turnaround their opponents will have to overcome ahead of the Wembley clash.
