County championships around the country concluded in football and hurling this weekend as more clubs booked their places in their Provincial Championships.
In football, after losing two finals in a row Sarsfields are finally the Kildare champions. The Newbridge side had a 0-17 to 1-12 win over Athy yesterday.
In Cork, Nemo Rangers and Castelhaven will have to meet again next Sunday after they drew 0-10 each, while in Roscommon Clann Na Gael overcame Padraig Pearses 1-9 to 0-11.
Emo and Portloaise will meet again next Saturday night after they drew in the Laois final. Newcastle West overcame Dromcollogher-Broadford in the Limerick final. In Monaghan, Scotstown defeated Monagahan Harps in their county final.
Clonmel Commercials are Tipperary champions after a 1-12 to 3-5 win over Moyle Rovers. Naomh Conaill overcame Saint Eunan's in the Donegal final by 0-11 to 0-10.
In hurling, Ballygunner made it back to back titles in Waterford overcoming Tallow by 0-16 to 0-12, while St Mullin's beat former All Ireland finalists Mount Leinster Rangers in Carlow 1-14 to 0-10.
Clonkill took the Westmeath crown beating Raharney 1-14 to 1-10, while in Offaly Coolderry are champions after a dramatic 2-15 to 1-16 win over St Rynagh's.
