Connacht's historic season ended in heartbreak yesterday in Kingsholm.

Pat Lam's side were leading the Champions Cup play off going into added time, when Billy Meakes crossed the try line to take the game to extra time.

Gloucester scored ten points in the final moments of extra time, including a lenght of the pitch try from Jonny May to give David Humphries' side a 40-32 win.

Pat Lam's first season in charge at The Sportsground has proven to be bittersweet after missing out on a Champions Cup spot via the Pro12 and now through the play offs.

The head coach spoke to Rob Murphy from Galway Bay FM after the match.
