Sutton United are the last non-league team to defeat a top-tier side, at home in the FA Cup.

In 1989, the south-London side defeated Coventry City 2-1 in the Third Round. At the time, Coventry were in second place in the-then First Division.

Next month, they will have the chance to make more history. The Conference side have earned a glamour draw at home to Arsenal in the Fifth Round. It is the first time the club have reached the last-16 of the FA Cup.

Despite the 107-league places between the teams, they are linked by a group of former Arsenal youth stars in the Sutton side. Craig Eastmond played a handful of times for Arsene Wenger's side before leaving the club.

On Monday night, hundreds of Sutton fans gathered at the club to watch the Fifth Round draw. Unsurprisingly, they were ecstatic with the result.

Cheekily, the club's chairman Bruce Elliott said the club would take a replay at the Emirates Stadium. FA Cup gate receipts are split between the competing clubs.
