American football helmets are hard and sturdy.

Unluckily for Buffalo kicker Dan Carpenter, he found out they have a decent bounce too. The 30-year-old made 23 out of 27 kicks in the regular season and was clearly annoyed to miss a kick last night.

The kick was a conversion attempt in the second quarter which is relatively straightforward for NFL players.

Here is the incident in all its glory including the missed kick. Luckily for the Bills it was not crucial as they beat the Jets 22-17.
