If you got it, why not show it off?
Justin Rose is the only living male golfer in the World to own an Olympic gold medal, and he showed it off on the golf course for the first time.
The British golfer, playing in his first tournament since winning gold in Brazil, wore the medal as he completed his round at The Barclays event in New York on Sunday evening.
Playing with Phil Mickelson, Rose put on the medal and showed it off to the Bethpage Black crowd to massive cheers, as he tapped in his final putt on what was a disappointing week.
Support was amazing. Thank you.
Oh, and it was Bones who said I should tap in with the gold around my neck! 🅠pic.twitter.com/1aEpkWzBmT— Justin Rose (@JustinRose99) August 28, 2016
The former US Open champion finished in a tie for 31st place on level par. Despite the disappointing finish, he still finished with a smile on your face.
When you have the most exclusive prize in golf, why wouldn't you be smiling?
