He's called 'The Wild Thing' for a reason.

John Daly is enjoying life on the Champions Tour after the 50-year-old joined senior's tour earlier this year. He is still waiting for his first win since the 2014 Beko Classic.

Starting three shots off the lead going into the final round of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, the two-time major winner decided to use only one hand on the longer putts during his final round. Unsurprisingly, it was not the most successful tactic.

In what looks like a practice routine, Daly was using the method in real time, with lots of money on the line.

A tied-eleventh place finish was Daly's best of the season as he ended up on -7, seven shots behind the eventual winner Paul Goydos.

Daly will compete in this week's Open Championship at Royal Troon. He won the second of his two major tournaments at The Open in 1995. He will play with former champion Ben Curtis and Italian amateur Stefano Mazzoli in the opening two rounds.
