There was a bit of magic in the FA Cup tonight as Exeter City earned a famous draw against a weakened Liverpool side.
The League Two club's 2-2 result means both sides will have to do it all again to decide who advances to the fourth round.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp named a second string side as they deal with an injury crisis which gave the opposition incentive to try and pull off a shock.
As it happened, Exeter stunned their Premier League rivals when they took the lead inside the opening 10 minutes when Tom Nicholls slid in to make contact with a low cross.
Liverpool were level within minutes as youngster Jerome Sinclair held his nerve to fire home from close-range after a mix-up in the Exeter defence.
But the home side regained the lead just before the half-time whistle when a corner by Lee Holmes evaded Reds goalkeeper Adam Bogdan and flew straight into the net.
But Liverpool did manage to cancel out that goal when 21-year-old Australian Brad Smith found the net with 18 minutes to go which ultimately leads to a replay at Anfield.
