Denis Hogan joined Ger Gilroy and Johnny Ward on Friday Night Racing to talking about his budding career as a horse trainer.
The trainer who came from a farming background but says living next to legendary jockey Charlie Swan for helping him get involved with racing.
"I grew up in a farming background but lived next to charlie Swan, and it kicked off from there. He opened the riding school and myself and my sister started riding lessons there and I went from there into the race horses and pony racing, and then it stepped on a bit further.
From Cloughjordan, County Tipperary, Denis partnered his first winner as a trainer himself when Kylebeg Krystle won at Thurles in January, 2010.
