After launching his intentions to be a title holder at multiple weights in the UFC, Conor McGregor's dream was obliterated at UFC 196.

A rear naked choke in the second round - his second submission defeat since 2010 -  dispelled his ambitions and left the nation feeling deflated. But the Mystic Mac was far from disillusioned. Directly after the fight, he congratulated Nate Diaz, and deduced that being 'inefficient' with his energy, was the sole reason for his loss.

In a post-fight press conference, he claimed that defending his Featherweight title was going to be his next move, and it looks like he might be going to charge back into the octagon earlier than we thought.

UFC President Dana has let slip that the Featherweight champion could make an appearance at UFC 200.

''In 30 minutes, we have our big match-maker meeting where we're really gonna start building UFC 200. You can't make peopl fight. In this business, it has to burn, it has to be a desire inside you and Conor McGregor is a perfect example, he's gonna fight at UFC 200. You have to have that burning desire to fight. If you don't have it, you absoultely should not fight.''
