You might remember Benni McCarthy from such appearances as Blackburn Rovers and South Africa's World Cup campaigns.

The 38-year-old former striker, who spent four years at Blackburn Rovers between 2006 and 2010, was working as a TV pundit for Super Sport last night during the Euro 2016 final between France and Portugal.

But before then, he spent the period between 2003 and 2006 at FC Porto following an initial loan in 2002.

Thus he has an affinity with Portugal and that adoration exploded into life in studio after Eder scored the winner in extra-time:
