Everton have taken the advantage in their League Cup semi-final after a 2-1 first leg win over Manchester City at Goodison Park.

The Toffees took the lead in added time of the first half courtesy of a goal from defender Ramiro Funes Mori. It was the second goal of the season for the Argentine.

With 15 minutes left in the game, the 2014 champions equalised through Jesus Navas. The Spanish winger slotted past Joel Robles after Sergio Aguero was given too much time in the middle of the field.
