The road to the World Cup is already being paved in South America, as the nations are competing to make their way to the tournament. 

This round of qualifiers has already seen a few injures to high profile stars like Sergio Aguero, but Chilean Alexis Sanchez managed to keep his great run of form going and avoid any serious injuries. 

After scoring five in his last two Premier League games, and one against Olympiakos in the Champions League, he joined up with the national squad and helped them to a 2-0 victory over Brazil with another goal, before last night scored two in a seven goal thriller against Peru.

That makes it eight in five games, which is not a bad return in anyone's books.
