Lions coach Warren Gatland has kept his promise to give everyone a start within the first week of the tour.

The Lions head to Auckland to take on the Blues in their second match of the tour and the head coach named an entirely different starting 15.

Speaking after he announced his team, he said: "The plan was always to give everyone a start in the first three matches to give everyone an opportunity.

"We're thinking about, probably towards the Maori's game to get a couple of combinations that might be what you're looking at for the first test," he added.

Ken Owens will captain the side as they look to improve on their first outing, when they laboured to a 13-7 win over the NZ Provincial Barbarians.
