Australia have bounced back from their recent poor form – with last week’s defeat to England their eighth of the year – with a 50-20 win over Italy in Rome.
Italy took the lead at the Stadio Olimpico through Luke McLean but Australia were soon on top with tries from Mick Cummins, Ben Mowen, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Israel Felau, Tevita Kuridrani and Joe Tomane.
Tommaso Allan scored a late try for Italy but it was no more than a consolation.
