Yesterday's World Cup action featured the best and worst of goalkeeping.

On one hand, Mexico Guillermo Ochoa flung himself in the way of every Brazilian effort to secure a precious 0 - 0 draw for his country. But later last night Russia keeper Igor Akinfeev - once linked with top Premier League clubs and a bona fide Football Manager legend - gifted a goal to South Korea in a 1 - 1 draw.

As history has shown us, goalkeeping is the most thankless task and the World Cup is the most unforgiving environment.
