It's a competition that is 99 years old and will see some of the best players in the world go head-to-head for their respective countries: Lionel Messi with an Argentina which has not won the Copa America since 1993, Alexis Sanchez's Chile which has never won it and Brazil and Neymar who are still trying to scrub away the memories of last year's World Cup humiliation.
So, there's a "spectacle" to look forward to according to BBC South American football correspondent Tim Vickery on Off The Ball tonight.
"You can always appoint three favourites in the Copa America. This year it's an ABC: Argentina, Brazil and hosts Chile. But you've got very dark horses in Colombia, Uruguay as the reigning champions - alright without Luis Suarez but with an interesting new generation - Ecuador, who are dangerous, and that doesn't even get into three of the last four in the Copa America four years ago when Paraguay came second, Peru came third and Venezuela came fourth," he said, adding that we can expect more attacking football than last time.
