The decision was made by the Dutch national team's medical staff.
Dirk Kuyt and Feyernoord midfielder Jordy Clasie have also withdrawn from the squad.
Norwich midfielder Leroy Fer who scored the last goal in Saturday's 3 - 1 win over West Ham, is among the replacements drafted in.
