Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reacted angrily to questions suggesting there's a rift with his assistant Ryan Giggs.

The Dutchman celebrated their winning goal against Newcastle in the Premier League on Wednesday night - and when he tried to involve Giggs, the former midfielder didn't look interested.

Van Gaal gave a sarcastic response after being asked about how well he gets on with Giggs. "We have a very bad relationship," he said, before adding: "I am very irritated because of this question.

"Everybody can see that we have a very good relationship. It's a way of suggest[ing] things, I am not pleased."
