The Tony Martin-trained Quick Jack has won today's feature at the Galway Races.

The 9/2 shot produced an excellent run under jockey Denis O'Regan to win the Guinness Galway Hurdle Handicap at a canter after a dramatic fall at the last.

Stablemate Thomas Edison appeared to be moving into contention on the approach to the final hurdle before he stumbled on the landing to allow Quick Jack an easy romp to the finish ahead of Max Dynamite, with another Tony Martin runner Ted Veale taking third.

Earlier, the Guinness Harp Novice Chase was won by the Henry de Bromhead trained Sizing Platinum.

And the Guinness Novice Hurdle went to Sandymount Duke to give trainer Jessica Harrington her second winner of the afternoon at Ballybrit.
