Cork football boss Peadar Healy expressed his pride in how his team came back in the second half of their Munster SFC semi-final, to defeat Tipperary.
Healy's side rallied from a disappointing first half display to curtail Tipperary in the second period, and ultimately take a one-point victory.
Tipperary looked to have secured the victory coming into the final minutes, when Conor Sweeney scored a vital goal. Cork's response was immediate as they charged back down the pitch to respond with a goal of their own through Luke Connolly.
Speaking to Oisin Langan of Newstalk Sport, Healy said he was proud of how his players applied themselves to earn the win:
"This was a great performance that dug out a great result today. When the pressure was on them at half-time and they went 6-1 down, they responded very well.
"Ye, the press, has given us a beating over the last couple of weeks, but I thought the players responded very well when they went 6-1 down and Tipperary got the goal.
"Show me a better goal this year than the goal Cork scored."
Cork will now progress to face either Clare or Kerry in the Munster final. The other semi-final takes place this afternoon in Ennis.
