Ireland's outstanding performance in Baku's Crystal Hall continued this morning as Katie Taylor and Michael O'Reilly added to Team Ireland's medal haul.

The Bray boxer qualified for Women's Lightweight semi finals after a unanimous decision over Sweden's Ida Lundblad. She will now fight Azerbaijan's Yana Alekseevna in the semi finals in a repeat of last years World Final.

Michael O'Reilly added another medal, half an hour after Taylor's victory. He won by unanimous decision against Slovenian Aljaz Venko in the Middleweight quarter finals.

Olympian Darren O'Neill was not able to make it three from three for the Irish boxers in the morning session. He lost by split decision in the Heavyweight quarter finals against Gevorg Manukian from Ukraine.

Later this afternoon, Brendan Irvine is the first Irish fighter in semi final action. He fights Ukrainian  Dmytro Zamotayev this afternoon.
