Connacht have confirmed that Bundee Aki will require surgery on his ankle injury.

The centre told his Twitter followers earlier that he would have to go under the knife to repair the injury that he suffered during last Friday's defeat to Edinburgh.

The province have now confirmed that the player is facing eight to 10 weeks out of action with a ruptured ankle joint.
