Liverpool striker Luis Suarez wants talks with Arsenal despite the fact that his club has rejected another bid from the Gunners.
Arsenal bid £40 million and one pound which does not trigger a buy-out clause, leaving Liverpool free to reject the approach. But under the terms of his contract, the club had to inform Suarez of the offer.
The Uruguayan has been eyeing an exit from Anfield to go in search of Champions League football.
With Gonzalo Higuain on the verge of joining Napoli, Arsenal have concentrated their efforts on prising Suarez from Liverpool's grasp.
Earlier today, Liverpool owner John W Henry ridiculed Arsenal's offer for the striker.
But the club will hold talks with Suarez.
