Scotland boss Gordan Strachan has insisted he will have to say little to motivate his players for tonight's match in a game which he describes is "known throughout the world."

Scotland head into the fixture in fourth place in the group on four points, one adrift of both Lithuania and Slovenia and a further two behind England.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference about motivating his team, Strachan said: "They know the fixture, everybody knows the fixture. It's known throughout the world. So I don't have to show them the importance."

"The importance is not to become caught up in the emotion of the game. It's important to use your emotion and passion, to run further than you've ever run before, to jump higher than you've ever jumped, to concentrate more," he added.

In the history of fixtures between the two nations, England have won 47 while the Scots have tasted victory 41 times.

Scotland captain Darren Fletcher said: "It doesn't get much bigger than this - there will be a little more fire in the belly, it being England v Scotland."

Wembley is sold out for the fixture with 14,000 Scotland fans expected to attend.
