Scotland manager Gordon Strachan is expecting his players to rise to the occasion when they face England at Hampden Park on Saturday.

The home side start six points behind today's opponents and Group F leaders England.

Strachan admitted he hasn't been working on a pre-match team talk ahead of the game and is confident his team will use the atmosphere to their advantage as they play a must-win game.

Speaking ahead of the match he said: "It's something you don't plan in advance, you feel it. You feel the atmosphere and you have to take it from there.

"So there's nothing planned. No Churchillian speech in the back of my mind at the moment. Something kind of materialises."

The Scots sit in fourth place in their group on seven points with Slovenia a point ahead of them and Slovakia a further point to the good. Gareth Southgate's unbeaten England lead the way on 13 points.
