After clinching the signings of ex-England star Joe Cole and Peter Ramage, League One team Coventry have brought in another player with top-flight experience.
Stephen Hunt has joined the club on a short-term deal.
The former Ireland winger had been without a club after leaving Ipswich in the summer.
"I believe I should be playing in the Championship but I said to myself that if I was going to drop down, I'd want to come to a club on the top and at the top end of the league," he told the Coventry City website.
"Of course, I like to earn a longer-term deal which will keep me here until the end of the season as there is a great group of players here who can achieve something this season."
Coventry are fourth in League One, three points off an automatic promotion place to the second tier.
