Steph Curry missed all his three-point attempts last night as the Golden State Warriors fell to the L.A. Lakers by a score of  117-97.

Last year's runner-up had beaten the Portland Trailblazers and the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier in the week and were expected to deal with the Lakers with relative ease.

Instead they only scored 15 points in the opening quarter and never recovered. Curry had 10 attempts at a three-pointer with no success. He only bagged 13 points in the game while Kevin Durant dropped 27.

Julius Randle and Lou Williams led the charge for the Lakers with 20 points each whilst D'Angelo Russell bagged 17 to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Last season Golden State won 73 games but they managed to lose to a poor Lakers team at the staples centre as well.

Golden State welcome the New Orleans Pelicans and the Dallas Mavericks to Oakland in the coming days as they look to get their mojo back. The Lakers improved their record to 3-3 and welcome the Phoenix Suns to the Staples Centre on Sunday.
