Liverpool have tasted defeat on five occasions and one of those was against this evening's opponents Southampton.
Of course, it came at a time when opposition defences did not have to worry about Luis Suarez as he was muzzled by the FA over the Branislav Ivanovic biting incident.
The team was also drastically different to the main line-up Rodgers favours now, with Iago Aspas and Victor Moses starting, whereas they are fringe players at this point of the season.
Hot Press
Liverpool have been excellent at pressing the opposition this season but against the Saints they struggled to cope with the intense pressure Southampton brought to bear high up the field. Saints attempted an astonishingly high number of tackles (63) and completed 11 interceptions. To put that into perspective, Premier League have average between 15 and 23 tackles per game this season...
As the Squawka graphic above shows, 15 of Southampton's 63 attempted tackles took place in Liverpool's half. Liverpool in contrast attempted 33 tackles in that game.
Yet, funnily enough both teams have tallied a similar number of tackles per game, ranking second and third in the Premier League this season.
Weakness in the air
Apart from Arsenal who have 10 headed goals, Liverpool and Southampton have scored more headers than any other teams this season (with 11 and 10 respectively) and have also done well at attacking set pieces.
Yet, Liverpool have given away more headed goals (10) than any other team this season except Cardiff City. And that is exactly how Southampton found the net at Anfield, via Dejan Lovren at a corner.
