After months of speculation over his future, the Kilkenny hurling legend will be making a statement to the media at Langton's Hotel in The Marble City at noon tomorrow.

The 36-year-old has won 10 Liam MacCarthy Cup with the Cats, while he also helped his club, Ballyhale Shamrocks, to their sixth (and his third) All-Ireland club title on St Patrick's Day.
Speaking after that club final, Shefflin admitted that he was close to making a decision on whether or not to remain part of Brian Cody's inter-county panel.
