The 42-year-old veteran joined the lads on Off The Ball tonight and he was happy to field questions about the way he had to be taken off the field after suffering a torn calf muscle while going on a mazy run up the field.
"We were down to 14 men and the field opened up," said Curran before joking, " it certainly closed up around the 45 as well.
"When I turned around, the calf muscle just went. Unfortunately I wasn't able to continue. It was a pretty severe injury to be fair but that's what happens when you're closer to 50 than you are to 30."
At the age of 42, Curran knows his playing future will always be under scrutiny and he admitted that he will wait and see before making a decision.
"I'll be out for at least six to eight weeks. I always said that someday the game gives you up. I'm not too sure if the game has given me up or not. I will reflect on that over the winter. I'll see if the body can go again next Spring."
Curran also took time to congratulate Castlebar who ended St Brigid's dream of retaining their Connacht and All Ireland club crown.
But he believes that there are good young players coming through at the club, including his own position in the shape of Shane Mannion.
And what's the story behind his nickname Cake or Cáca as gaeilge? You can find out what Curran had to say about that via the podcast.
