Jonathan Sexton and All Blacks captain Richie McCaw are among the players backing a new proposal for an integrated global rugby season.
The International Rugby Players Association wants the northern hemisphere season to start a month later, with summer international tours to take place in the last three weeks of July.
The changes would come into force for the 2015-16 season, after the Rugby World Cup in England.

The English Premiership is reportedly supportive of the idea.
