In just his second PGA event since securing his card, Seamus Power is on the cusp of winning his first tournament.

The Waterford man remains two adrift of the lead after carding a two-under 70 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, leaving him in joint sixth place. Power found himself in a position where he could climb into a share of the lead at one point after three birdies on the front nine, coupled with one more on the par-5 11th. But the opportunity was lost after parring a shot on the 14th.

The Irish Olympian's form in Missippi has been impressive throughout the tournament. His opening round produced a 65 followed by a 69 on day two which included a brace of birdies on the front nine.

Meanwhile, overnight leader Grayson Murray is level with Power after an even-par round of 72 as Americans Luke List and Chris Kirk lead the way on the final day.
