Scotland claimed a crushing 45-10 win over Japan in their Pool B clash at Kingsholm in today's opening match at the Rugby World Cup.

Japan only trailed 12-7 at the break, having earned a try via Amanaki Mafi, but Scotland cut loose after the restart.

Two tries from centre Mark Bennett as well as further scores from John Hardie, Tommy Seymour and Finn Russell, helping Vern Cotter's side to a crushing bonus-point victory.
