Today, FIFA confirmed that one of the 2014 World Cup venues - the Curitiba Stadium - will be ready in time for June.

With that issue seemingly put to bed, BBC South American football expert Tim Vickery joined us from the southern Brazilian city of Florianopolis where World Cup managers, coaches and delegates have descended for FIFA workshops to discuss logistics.

Tim could even get to sit down for a tête-à-tête with Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari who he described as genius in his dealings with the press and players alike.

"He's genius. He's so good at [dealing with the press]. He's so wonderfully charismatic," said Tim of the former Chelsea manager.

"That's one of the reasons that he got the job. Brazil wanted someone going into the World Cup on home soil with shoulders broad enough to deal with the pressure. Scolari has been saying for months, that they're going to win. He's heaping that pressure on himself because he knows how he can cope with it."

Tim also explained how Big Phil plays the Father Figure role which is a key concept in Brazilian society and told us how that failed to translate itself at Chelsea where players wanted a more distant relationship with their manager.
