Nice Rosberg has won a drama filled British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Several drivers suffered punctures to their rear left tyres, with Lewis Hamilton (pictured) falling back to last place in the race as a result of a puncture on the eighth lap. In total their were five tyre incidents in a race that saw the safety car twice.

Hamilton fought back and finished fourth, but the glory went to his Mercedes teammate, as Rosberg held off the challenge of Mark Webber on the final lap.

Fernando Alonso finished third, while Sebastian Vettel retired due to gearbox failure, suffered as he was leading the race.

The high frequency of punctures led to a crowded pit lane, as teams called their drivers in to equip the cars with hard tires.
