Roddy Collins could be set for a surprise return to Bohemians.

Athlone Town have reportedly given their manager permission to speak with Bohemians, who sacked Aaron Callaghan earlier this month.

Bohs currently find themselves second from bottom in the Premier Division table and have targeted Collins to help them avoid the drop.

The former Shamrock Rovers, Monaghan United and Carlisle United boss won a League and Cup double during his last stint in charge at Dalymount Park.
