Ireland skipper Robbie Keane reckons referee Jonas Eriksson may have given Poland an easier ride during the Euro 2016 qualifier draw in Dublin last night.
The Swede issued five yellow cards to the hosts at the Aviva Stadium - Wes Hoolahan, John O'Shea, Séamus Coleman, Marc Wilson and James McCarthy all going in the book - while the visitors received only three cautions, which appeared especially lenient given the niggly nature of the clash.
"If you look at the amount of fellow cards we got," said Keane, "probably a few silly yellow cards."
He continued: "The referee was very quick to get his cards out ... maybe for Poland he wasn't the same. I think in the second half we got a lot of free-kicks in dangerous areas. But I don't know. I don't think we're cheaters are we, us Irish?"
While James McClean may have brought a bit of karma to proceedings with his fierce challenge on Arkadiusz Milik, it was a night where Ireland did appear to get the short end of the stick from the ref.
And James McClean was true to his word. He did say he would smash into his first tackle. Looked sharp when he came on #IREVPOL #McClean

But nonetheless, Keane was happy to get out with the draw following Shane Long's late, late equaliser.
"Happy with the goal at the end and getting the point," said the LA Galaxy striker. "We certainly deserved it, there's no question about it. It would have been a travesty if we didn't get something out of the game."
