Joe Schmidt has opted to go with the same starting XV that beat France two weeka at the Aviva Stadium for this Friday's clash with Wales.
Ireland travel to the Principality Stadium three points behind England, who have won all three of their matches so far and remain on course for a Grand Slam.
Schmidt welcomed back the fit-again Johnny Sexton to the starting line-up and his points helped Ireland see off the French in difficult conditions.
Being able to retain the same squad, Schmidt says, will be key to putting it up to Rob Howley's side in Cardiff.
"It's one of the things that through the tournament it's the first time we've been able to do that," he said on Wednesday afternoon. "When we won the Championship in 2014 and 2015, we actually had minimal changes week-to-week. I think we grew as the tournament went on.
"That's a massive challenge because everyone through the Championship tends to pick up a bit more rhythm. In the first game, you tend to be a little under-done and you've got to pick up from there.
"It's a challenge for both sides and an opportunity for both sides to have those unchanged starting XVs and all 23 in the case of Wales."

Schmidt pointed to the benefits of retaining a settled, fit squad and also explained that there have been positive signs in recent weeks that he wants to see improve. One of those positive signs was the budding centre partnership of Robbie Henshaw and Garry Ringsrose.
"Sometimes you're almost happy you don't have to make calls. But Robbie and Garry had a really good relationship and are building on that. Selection is sometimes swayed by the cohesion of the current combination. At the same time, Jared [Payne] and Robbie have played a lot together as well.
"I think Jared's experience, especially potentially from off the bench because he plays fullback, has played on the wing and can play in midfield. His versatility is huge.
"We have combinations that we do feel are improving and we want to give them an opportunity. I thought Garry played very well against the French. Some of his defensive work was outstanding... We want him to continue to grow in that manner."
