Liverpool's Pepe Reina and Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain are reportedly having medicals with Italian club Napoli today.
Reina is expected to join on loan to link up with his former manager Rafael Benitez. It is a move made possible by Liverpool's purchase of Simon Mignolet from Sunderland.
Higuain is moving from Real Madrid but was subject to a bid from Arsenal.
Arsenal were believed to have agreed personal terms with the Argentine striker but Real Madrid reportedly held out for more cash.
It leaves the Gunners in a tight spot as Liverpool rejected an improved bid for Luis Suarez and Wayne Rooney is heavily linked with Chelsea.
Another prime target, Stevan Jovetic, joined Manchester City.
