Andy Murray is the World No 1 in Men's tennis for the first time in his career.
His ascension to the top of the rankings comes after Milos Raonic withdrew from their Paris Masters semi-final, giving Murray the place he needed in the final.
Previous incumbent Novak Djokovic's surprise quarter-final exit to Marin Cilic had opened the door for Murray to overtake him at the top of the rankings.

A win over Raonic to qualify for the Paris final was enough to seal the necessary points but the Canadian's exit means Murray achieved that without having to play a match.
Raonic, who Murray beat in this year's Wimbledon final to seal the third Grand Slam title of his career, withdrew due to injury.
"Yesterday, I started feeling some pain in my legs. I didn't think too much of it at that point. This morning I had trouble waking up and getting out of bed and they found that I have a grade one tear in my quad. So unfortunately I'm not able to compete," said Raonic.
Thus 2016 has been a memorable year for Murray. The Scottish tennis player won Wimbledon again, reached World No 1 status and retained his Olympic gold medal for Great Britain at Rio 2016, four years on from his London 2012 triumph.
