The Taoiseach has proposed the establishment of an all-island soccer team which would be formed on a temprary basis and to play for charity.
Speaking at a reconciliation through sport event in Armagh in Northern Ireland, Mr Kenny said the team could play England every two years.
The Taoiseach says funds raised could be used for the Children's hospitals in Belfast and Dublin.
The Irish national rugby and cricket teams draw its support and playing pool from across all 32 counties.
The soccer team has been the one outlier in that regard since partition when the FAI and Northern Irish IFA split.
Would you be favour of an all-island national soccer team? If it were to occur, would you prefer it to be just for charity or should the Northern Irish team and league be amalgamated into the Republic of Ireland's footballing structures?
