Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed Legia Warsaw's highly rated teenager Krystian Bielik is having a medical at the club today.
They've agreed a fee for the versatile Polish player, who is reported to have been wanted by Hamburg.
"It's a classic Arsene Wenger signing, he's one for the future," former Arsenal forward Alan Smith told Sky Sports.
"He's a big lad, over six foot tall and a defensive midfielder, the kind the team needs, but he is 17 years of age."
Wenger's looking for reinforcements in defence, after Mathieu Debuchy was ruled out for three months following surgery on his shoulder, which he'd dislocated.
It's the full-back's second major injury since joining the club.
