Villarreal supporters have shown their solidarity with their Liverpool counterparts tonight with a banner paying tribute to those who died in the Hillsborough tragedy.

This week an inquest ruled that the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives during the tragic events at the 1989 FA Cup semi-final were unlawfully killed.

Liverpool were in Europa League action tonight in Spain against Villarreal and the Yellow Submarine's fans showed their solidarity in an emotional week for their opponents:
