The dream ending to Steven Gerrard's Liverpool career turned into a nightmare yesterday as Aston Villa advanced to the FA Cup final.
Gerrard, who is to move to LA Galaxy in the summer was hoping to play his last game in the red of Liverpool at Wembley in the FA Cup final on his 35th birthday.
Tim Sherwood's Villa came from behind to win the game 2-1 courtest of goals either side of the break from Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph. Philippe Coutinho had given Liverpool a first half lead.

Aston Villa will now play reigning holders Arsenal in the final on May 30th.
