Manny Pacquiao won the WBO welterweight title in Las Vegas last night, beating Timothy Bradley with a unanimous points decision.

Pacquiao avenged his controversial 2012 title loss to Bradley with a comprehensive win, the 56th of his 63 fight career.

After the fight the Filipino insisted his career in the ring could continue for, "A couple more years.

"There's no problem for me. My job is to fight in the ring - any opponent," Pacquiao said.

Bradley told the BBC after the fight that he had been aiming to get the knockout and that desire had come from the controversy surrounding his win in the first bout between the pair.

"I thought I had to do more [than the first fight]- that's why I was going for a knockout," Bradley said.

"Manny fought his heart out and the better man won tonight.

"I was trying to hit him with something over the top when he was throwing. I got beaten here but the war is not over."

Pacquaio took control of the fight in the second half but admitted his opponent had improved on their first meeting.

"I picked up more steam in the second half when I made adjustments,” he said.

"Bradley was much better than in the first fight we had. He hurt me on the chin."

Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s long time trainer, said Bradley’s aggressive tactics played to his fighter’s advantage.

"Manny was a little sloppy tonight but I was happy with his performance. It looked like Bradley was going for a one-punch home run,” Roach said to ESPN.
