More than 2million viewers saw Katie Taylor's dominant victory over Miriam Gutierrez on Saturday night.

Sky made their triple-header of women's fights available for free via their YouTube and Facebook channels.

As well as Taylor's unanimous decision win that saw her hold on to her undisputed lightweight title, Terri Harper stopped Katherina Thanderz to retain her WBC and IBO super-featherweight titles. And Rachel Ball was crowned interim WBC super-bantamweight champion with a win over Jorgelina Guanini.

Across the UK and Ireland, Taylor's fight generated 1.5million viewers on Facebook alone.

A further 550,000 tuned into Sky's Sky Sports’ YouTube live stream. Between the Sky Sports website and apps, there were 227,000 views.

While on Sky Sports television broadcast, there were an estimated 600,000 viewers.

Head of Sky's Boxing Development and commentator Adam Smith said, "We’re thrilled with the fantastic viewing figures, on all platforms, for a truly momentous evening of women’s title fights, topped by Katie Taylor’s masterful performance.

Smith added, "Rachel Ball produced a fantastic win, the launch pad for her to pursue World Titles, while Terri Harper was composed and clinical in her defence of the WBC Super-Featherweight belt.

It was then Katie Taylor’s time to produce a punch perfect display. Simply dazzling. “Katie is an unbelievable ambassador for the sport and we decided to stream her historic fight night for free, a sign of our long-term commitment to women’s sport with Matchroom.

"We’ve started something special as we continue to showcase the best talent in women’s boxing on Sky Sports."

Meanwhile, Taylor has been confirmed as the best pound-for-pound women's boxer by the latest issue of Ring Magazine.

The Bray fighter is ranked ahead of Claressa Shields, with a potential opponent of Taylor's - Cecilia Braekhus - in third.

Taylor naturally tops the lightweight division, with her long-time foe Delfine Persoon just behind her. Unbeaten English fighter Chantelle Cameron comes in behind Persoon.
