This year the Collingwood Cup celebrates its 100th anniversary.
The centenary tournament for Irish University soccer teams takes place at UCD this weekend and the draw is available here.
To tell us more about the history of the Cup, we were joined by Irish Universities Football Union chairman Terry McAuley.
"It was first played in 1914 and indeed the tournament itself has survived the Great War, the Second World War and some friction between footballing bodies North and South. So to stay going for 100 years is a great achievement," said McAuley.
"There's been great stories down the years of great football matches and rivalries. We've only got to think about the great rivalry between UCD and Queens, and UCD and Trinity, Cork and Galway. The students really do take it seriously," said McAuley who feels that the four-day intensity of the competition adds to the excitement.
