Norwich manager Chris Hughton insists he does not feel under extra pressure, despite a 7-0 defeat at Manchester City last weekend.
Only Fulham's Martin Jol is currently ahead of him in the odds as regards to the next Premier League manager to lose their job.
The Canaries have had an underwhelming start to the campaign. They are 18th in the Premier League and have won just twice. They have also been goal-shy. With six goals, they have the joint-lowest tally in the goals for tally.
Hughton is refusing to be down, despite them currently sitting in the relegation zone.
"We certainly don't want doom and gloom," said Hughton, who was linked to the Ireland job, immediately after Giovanni Trapattoni's departure.
"There's so much to look forward to. Also, when you bring new players in, sometimes it takes a little bit longer for some players to bed in than others."
